Individual Class Curriculum Maps
Please see each individual Class Page for how the curriculum is delivered across the school.
Whole school planning procedures include schemes of work and lesson plans. We teach a creative curriculum and work is planned to meet the individual needs of each pupil. The curriculum is delivered using a variety of teaching methods, sometimes whole class, sometimes group and sometimes individual. The school has internal procedures for monitoring the teaching and learning. These involve the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Curriculum co-ordinators.
Reading and Phonics
The school follows the Twinkl phonics programme , which is a fully comprehensive synthetic phonics teaching programme approved by the Department for Education. The phonics programme includes reading books related to the phonics levels these will also be supplemented by a range of fully decodable books from our library.
The school follows the Oxford Diocesan Scheme of Work which works hand in hand with the delivery of the Oxfordshire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education requirements. Please see below further details of what our “Big Questions” are and how they link in with the Creative Curriculum.
