May started with our Year 2s enjoying a lovely morning at Abingdon Preparatory School participating in “An Introduction to Cricket”. They had an opportunity to bat in the nets as well as learning to bowl and field.
We then had our Year 3 &4s compete in the Abingdon Partnership Red Tennis Competition at the White Horse Leisure Centre. Everyone in the team played well and developed their skills as the competition progressed. Having won their group, the team then competed in a final play off where they kept their nerve and finished a fabulous 2nd place. Our Year 5 & 6s then went on to compete in the Orange Tennis Competition. In a strong field our A Team finished a fabulous 4th place, with our B Team finishing a supberb 2nd place.
We then changed sports again, this time our “Dallas Cowboys” team of Year 5&6s competed in the NFL Regional Tournament at Tilsley Park. After a slow start the team played well with some outstanding touchdowns and brilliant teamwork, finishing in 3rd place.
