March
Throughout February and March, we had a fantastic opportunity to train at Tilsley Park’s hockey pitches in preparation for the Vale In2 hockey tournament. Many thanks to Abingdon Boys School for all their help and support, our year 5/6 excelled in their hockey
skills and achieved a fantastic bronze medal placing in the tournament .
Netball
Our yr5/6 High 5 netball team became Abingdon Partnership Small Schools Champions.
Girls Football
On 21st March our girl’s competed in a 5 aside football tournament at Wantage. The girls won their group, winning all their games in a very fast paced indoor competition. An evenly matched semi-final, ended in a penalty shoot-out where they lost 3 – 1.Well done girls you were amazing.!
May
Our yr 3/4 competed in the orange Tennis competition at WHLC. It was lovely to see every member of the team improve and grow in confidence with each game they competed in and thoroughly deserved the title of Small Schools Champions.
June
After a very hard team selection ,10 of our yr5/6 competed in the Regional NFL flag football tournament at Tilsley Park. An exciting new sport for the children and one with lots of skills, rules and drills. Our ‘Dallas Cowboys’ showed determination and outstanding team work to become NFL flag Regional Champions. Well done to Amber for being awarded Most Valued Player. We are so proud of you all and wish you lots of love and luck in The National Championship at Loughborough University on 29th June.
Quad Kids
On consecutive days our yr5/6 and yr 3/4 competed in the Abingdon Partnership Quad kids competition at Tilsley Park. Every team member challenged themselves to achieve their best results. Well done to Layla and Sophia who finished a fantastic overall 2nd and 3rd place in the girls competition.
Tag Rugby Festival
Many thanks to Abingdon Boys School for hosting a brilliant Tag Rugby festival. Our yr 5/6 team thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of Tag Rugby and the tasty refreshments.
