Covid-19 November Update

COVID-19 School Procedures Update

Dear Parents/Carers

As you may be aware there are a number of cases of COVID-19 in the local area.

We have changed our policy to try and protect families and staff, so please take the time to read the attached document about revised actions to take.    If you need a paper copy so that you can refer to it easily, please email the school office.

As from Monday 16th November – all parents/carers/grandparents/friends/siblings who are dropping off or collecting children will need to wear a face covering.  This will apply from the pedestrian gate (or car park gate if you leave your cycle at school) until the Spinney exit on the cricket pitch.   Please ensure that those who may be collecting your child are aware of this requirement.

We are aware that access from the route from the Spinney back to Dark Lane is very muddy across the footbridge.   We have consulted with the County Council about other options to maintain a one way system and unfortunately other options would vastly increase other safety risks.   If you do not wish to return to Dark Lane over the bridge at this time, you may of course, walk across the cricket field to the main Sunningwell road or there is another exit at the bottom of the field by the entrance to Dark Lane.   Suitable footwear is recommended for all routes.    Unfortunately, we do have to maintain a one-way system and very much appreciate your support in adhering to the route, especially as it is not very pleasant in wet and wintry conditions.    The one-way system is there to limit the risk of infection.

If you have any questions – please email the school office.
